This Knot Headband is honestly the easiest crochet item I’ve ever made! The headband is worked back and forth in rows, a knot is tied in the middle and the ends are sewn together. That’s it! In total the entire project took me less than 15 minutes to make! This project is great for using up scrap yarn and you can easily alter this pattern to fit a child too 🙂 It’s the perfect pattern to create a matching accessory for you and your mini me!

Design Inspiration
Knot headbands have been everywhere lately and I’m so behind this trend! I love the Blair Waldorf Gossip Girl vibes and I think they are such a fun and functional accessory for summer. I made this headband in a ring shape that you can easily slip the headband slip on and off your head. I personally really like this style because it makes this headband super easy to wear. However, if you’re worried about your headband stretching out or your yarn not having enough elasticity, I’ve also included instructions to make a longer headband so that you can tie a bow the back of your neck. This option would also be super cute for up-dos and buns where the back of the headband is exposed.

Yarn
I used Lion Brand Jeans Yarn in the colour Faded. Lion Brand Jeans has a nice array of denim shades ranging from different shades of blue to grey but they also have Lion Brand Jeans Colors which has a fun range of warm and cool bright colours! This yarn is great for the headband since it has a good amount of stretch to it so the headband can stretch to fit your head. If you’re choosing to make the ring version of this headband I would highly recommend choosing a yarn with stretch and elasticity. That way your headband can easily glide over your head but will also stay in place after wearing it multiple times.
