I’m excited to share with you my latest crochet pattern! The Béatrice sweater is a chunky cropped crochet sweater with a shell border v-neck. The scalloped border adds a feminine touch to this modern crochet pattern. This crochet pattern is also accompanied by a YouTube tutorial 🙂

I love how to scalloped border creates a unique and feminine touch to the chunky sweater. The cropped length and ribbed cuffs keep the crochet design modern and fresh. Although I decided to have a crop length sweater, the written pattern offers alteration instructions so you can customise your sweater to any length!
This crochet pattern is best suited for advanced beginners or intermediate crocheters. It helps if you already know basic stitches such as double crochet, double crochet 2 together and front and back post double crochet (US terms).

For this project I used Drops Andes which is a 65% wool and 35% alpaca blend. I love the weight of this wool because its so thick and cosy it definitely keeps you warm! (I found mine at www.woolwarehouse.co.uk). For a wool super chunky/bulky yarn you get a good amount in each skein. I used to colour Gray Lilac which I think looks even more lovely in person! It is definitely a grey with a distinct muted lilac tone to it which turns up more pink on camera (It was a mission to take photos!).
